#Thanksgivingday 26

The ability to run.

This morning I am running a 5k to assist a wonderful local charity. This charity is MUST Ministries. This is from their website:

Serving our neighbors in need… transforming lives and communities in response to Christ’s call. Vision to become Georgia’s most respected Servant Leader – Restoring lives one person and one community at a time.

I don’t think there is a better mission than to serve those in need in response to God’s call. I enjoy running but knowing I am helping a great missions organization is even better.

See you at the finish line.

Thanksgiving #15

Today I am thankful for my wife. Today my wife turns 37. I first want to wish her a happy birthday.

She is such an amazing woman. She has a wonderful heart. She cares deeply about her family and will do anything for us. She has made sacrifices just to make sure we are happy.

She is a wonderful friend. We have been best friends for a long time. She is there for me when I need to vent. She comforts me after a long day.

I am so thankful for my wife. Happy birthday Brandy. I love you.

Thanksgiving #12

I  thankful for this series I am doing. It is really making me think about what I have to be thankful for. God has blessed me in so many ways. Our family is blessed. Sometimes we forget about what blessings we do have.

It is important to really think about what you do have. If you are not thankful with a little you will never be thankful with a lot.

Thanksgiving  Day 11 #veteransday

Today I am thankful for all of our military. We have a lot of family that are veterans: Al, Sarah, Jason, Todd, and many more. We also have a lot of friends that are veterans. There is just so many to mention. We are so thankful for all of you.

I am truly thankful for my grandfather, Leonard Gunter Sr., who served our country in World War II. I have only a few memories of him because he died when I was two. The one thing I do know from stories is that he was a hard worker. He worked hard to support the family he loved. Thank you papa for serving our great country. Thank you to all of our family and friends.

Thanksgiving #10

Thankful for my friends.

We all have friends and some wish they had more friends. I am thankful for all of our acquaintances and our friends. We have meet some really great people over the years through church, work, and the kids. Many of these people have helped us grow a lot.

I am extremely grateful for the close friends we have. I have one friend that has been there for me for over 21 years. Brandy, has a few friends that have been there even longer. We also have some great close friends from church. These friends are as close as family.

Friends are a great thing to have. They are there when you need them. I would challenge you to thank your friends for being there for you. Let them know how much you appreciate their friendship.

Thanksgiving #9

Thankful that even though my truck was broken into Saturday night the only thing that was taken was my battery. There was no damage done to the vehicle. I am thankful for that.

I hope they catch whom ever did it but I doubt it. I ask that you pray for those that think they have to steal to make a few bucks. People become desperate and do not care.
